This totally free program offers emerging and aspiring directors the chance to learn the principles and tools of stage directing by experiencing the entire process in action.
About the program
Exact Resemblance developed the Open Room Program to help emerging directors develop their skills and build connections by being a part of the rehearsal process of a professional theatre production under the mentorship of established international director, Cristiana Ripeanu.
Participants Receive

Mentorship from director Cristiana Ripeanu: a seat at the table means you will be able to observe rehearsals, ask questions, and participate in the discussions around creative decisions.

Training in how to prepare a directing concept and a theatre script pre-rehearsal: mentorship includes supervised practical directing exercises and feedback

Regular mentorship meetings with Cristiana Ripeanu to explore how new directing concepts can apply to your own projects and ideas (time commitment 1 hour/week outside of regular rehearsal schedule)

Training in how to work with actors on text

Training in how to bring staging concept to life and how to direct actors on stage

A credit as Assistant Director for the production upon completion of required attendance
